• Requests for payment through messaging applications such as WhatsApp or Telegram.
• Communications sent from personal email services such as Hotmail, Gmail, or Yahoo.
• Documents, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact details that closely mimic legitimate firm information.
• Unexpected or unusual requests for personal information, confidential information, or payment.

What Foley & Lardner Will Not Do

Foley & Lardner will never request payment through messaging applications, and we do not use personal email services for professional communications.

How to Verify a Communication

If you receive an unexpected or unusual communication that appears to come from Foley & Lardner or someone at the firm, verify its authenticity before responding or taking action.

• Contact the firm directly using the contact information listed on our official website.
• Do not rely on phone numbers, email addresses, links, or other contact details included in a suspicious communication.

If You Believe You Have Been Targeted

For us to take action against fraudulent domains, social media accounts, and impersonation profiles, we need a copy of the original communication which is attempting to impersonate our firm or its attorneys.
