Partner Christopher Cain said IT managers can respond to pricing pressure from technology sellers by investigating databases that provide pricing guidelines and checking with their industry peers to determine what they are paying for similar systems. He also noted that managers can potentially help their projects remain within budget by clearly defining the fees, terms and conditions in the technology contract before signing.
