Foley & Lardner LLP will be hosting a digital media conference on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Titled “The Challenges of Managing Multi-Platform Legal Issues
”, the program will feature interactive panel discussions on digital marketing best practices, privacy & data security, trademark & copyright enforcement, and a moderated keynote exchange between corporate counsel and outside marketing experts on digital marketing strategies.
“As we advise clients on challenges they face in the constantly evolving, 24/7 media environment, it was clear we needed an opportunity to hash out thorny issues and exchange ideas with other in-house business and legal counsel,” said Jeffrey H. Greene, chair of Foley’s Trademark, Copyright & Advertising Practice, and one of the conference co-chairs. “The idea of the conference emerged almost organically, as those of us who are desperately trying to get ahead of, or at least catch up with, the digital and social media landscape believed it necessary to develop an appropriate interactive forum. Judging by the participants and the registered attendees so far, it seems as if we were right."
Co-chaired by corporate counsel from Citigroup Inc., featured speakers for the conference include legal and business executives from Calvin Klein, Inc., Experian Information Solutions, Inc., Health Care Services Corporation, LinkedIn, Marvel Entertainment, LLC, NBC Universal Media, LLC, and Publicis Kaplan Thaler.
