Partner Michael Overly was quoted in a Wall Street Journal article, “Small Firms Worry as Big-Data Pact Dies,” on October 7, 2015. The article discussed the confusion and challenges companies are experiencing after the European Union struck down an agreement that allowed U.S. businesses to transfer Europeans’ personal information to the U.S. Overly was quoted saying, “We’re potentially going to see a massive number of contracts be renegotiated.” He continued to explain that companies need to ensure that they themselves comply with European law and that their service providers comply as well.
