Partner Michael Overly was quoted in a Business Insurance article, “Cyber Security Framework Marches Forward,” which covered the cyber security executive order issued by President Trump. Private companies seeking to do business with the federal government will likely be held to the same standards as the agencies they deal with, which may lead to a wider adoption of the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s framework.
Overly noted that the Trump administration had reached out to insurance industry and large-firm executives for their input before issuing the executive order. “They’ve tried to be pretty thoughtful with their approach to cyber security,” he said.
