Sylvester Speaks at 2019 New Harvest Conference

Special Counsel Brian Sylvester spoke at New Harvest 2019 on location at MIT’s Media Lab. The conference focused on cellular agriculture and brought together more than 350 start-ups, life science companies, PhDs, regulators and venture capitalists.
Sylvester spoke on a panel discussing the regulatory landscape for cell-based foods and provided an overview of where the United States currently stands on regulation and policy. He also provided insight regarding a recently issued Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the FDA and the role each agency will play in regulation.
