Converse Featured in Dallas Business Journal Discussing Private Equity Deal Landscape and Opportunities Amid Pandemic

Partner Chris Converse was interviewed in the Dallas Business Journal article, “As dealmaking stalls, distress could create opportunities for the bold in DFW private equity.” Converse, who was interviewed along with client Todd Dauphinais of Dallas-based Clavis Capital Partners, told the DBJ that while the deal market is quiet right now, he sees opportunities for private equity firms in distressed situations. 

“There are several (firms) around town that are in that category that understand risk and are not afraid of significant financial issues with companies,” Converse said. “That is, I think, where the opportunity lies.”

And while it’s hard to predict when the economy and dealmaking will rebound, Converse and Dauphainais said, they hope to see activity pick up again later in the year.
