Jordan Bledsoe is a commercial litigator who represents national companies in high-stakes disputes across multiple jurisdictions. His practice spans mass tort defense, class action defense, restrictive covenant and trade secret litigation, consumer-protection disputes, and complex contractual disputes. He has litigated matters in California, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida, Ohio, Arkansas, Washington, and Utah, and he brings sound judgment and a client-focused approach to every stage of a dispute, from early assessment through trial.
Jordan co-first-chaired Sunder Energy, LLC v. Jackson through the Delaware Court of Chancery and the Delaware Supreme Court, litigating against Paul Hastings LLP in a closely watched case testing the enforceability of sweeping restrictive covenants embedded in a private-equity-style operating agreement. He took and defended key depositions of C-suite executives and argued at the injunction stage. Both courts ruled in his client’s favor on every contested issue, holding the covenants unenforceable due to facial overbreadth and fiduciary breaches. The Delaware Supreme Court’s 2024 decision (332 A.3d 472) is now cited nationally as a leading authority on judicial reluctance to blue-pencil overbroad noncompetes—with significant implications for employers, executives, and PE-backed businesses operating under Delaware governance. Jordan regularly advises companies on both sides of restrictive covenant disputes — enforcing agreements to protect trade secrets and client relationships, and challenging overbroad covenants that impede executive mobility.
Jordan defends companies in consumer class actions in federal courts nationwide, including claims involving advertising practices, AI-driven product representations, and consumer-protection statutes. He has also represented a nationally recognized consumer brand in multiple putative class actions in California federal court. In addition, Jordan has experience handling a range of commercial disputes arising during periods of rapid company growth.
Jordan has led a national litigation portfolio for a major residential energy company, coordinating defense strategy and managing local counsel across more than thirty states. He also plays a strategic role in mass tort proceedings for one of the Mountain West’s largest healthcare systems, working closely with in-house counsel on defense strategy in complex, multi-plaintiff litigation.
Jordan has tried cases to verdict and examined and cross-examined numerous witnesses at trial, in arbitrations, and at contested evidentiary hearings. He has taken and defended dozens of depositions, including of senior executives in high-profile litigation, and has argued a wide range of motions in state and federal courts, including high-stakes dispositive and injunctive motions. Jordan’s clients span the energy, healthcare, consumer products, and technology sectors.
Jordan earned his J.D., with highest honors, from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif and served as President of the Student Litigation Society. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch (Commercial Litigation, 2021–2025) and Mountain States Super Lawyers Rising Stars (Business Litigation, 2019–2025). Jordan serves as hiring partner for Foley’s Salt Lake City office.
