Yelan Escalona is a business immigration attorney who counsels clients on the ever-evolving areas of immigration law and helps them develop comprehensive strategies to meet their employment and immigration needs.

Yelan has experience with immigrant and nonimmigrant matters, including petitions for intracompany transferees, individuals of extraordinary ability, and specialty occupation workers. She represents public and private companies across a diverse range of industries, including healthcare, finance, construction, and manufacturing. Yelan has also represented clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including intellectual property and consumer finance cases.

During law school, Yelan served as a congressional intern at the U.S. Senate in Washington, D.C., and as a judicial intern at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Miami, Florida. She was also an intern and fellow at the University of Miami School of Law’s Investor Rights Clinic, where she represented clients in FINRA arbitration. Yelan is a member of the firm’s Government Solutions Practice Group and started her career with Foley as a summer associate.
