Jose Lazaro is a seasoned business lawyer, focusing his practice on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, securities law, fintech, and general corporate matters. Jose serves a diverse client base across various sectors and industries, including digital assets, automotive, manufacturing, financial derivatives, medical and pharmaceutical, energy, supply chain, and others.

Jose has extensive experience navigating and executing private and public equity and debt offerings, spin-off transactions, and corporate reorganizations. He advises public and private companies on a wide range of matters, including securities law, entity formation, corporate governance, period disclosures and other public filings, commercial agreements, transaction preparation and more. Jose also provides regulatory advice to futures commission merchants and securities brokerage firms, and as an integral part of Foley’s Digital Assets, Web3 & NFTs team, he often advises clients on the listing of digital assets for trading on U.S. and offshore markets. Outside of his corporate practice, Jose is proud to devote a considerable amount of time to pro bono efforts, in particular housing and immigration matters.

Prior to Foley, Jose was an associate at a national law firm where he provided beginning-to-end legal guidance on public and private finance transactions. Before law school, Jose was drafted by the New York Yankees and played four years of collegiate baseball.
