Benjamin Levin represents equity investors and lenders, developers, regulated utilities and other energy companies, and manufacturers, non-profits, and individuals in commercial and residential real estate transactions, including sales and purchases, mortgage financings, donations, and conveyances and re-titling. Ben is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice.
Ben has particular experience where real estate intersects with the energy industry, with mortgage and municipal finance, and with estate planning. Ben has represented and advised numerous developers, manufacturers, and municipalities on Wisconsin’s tax incremental finance (TIF) statute and related redevelopment and municipal laws, procedures, and financing structures. Ben’s energy industry experience includes lease, easement, title, and survey preparation, amendment, negotiation, and diligence, solar, wind, and hydroelectric project sale and purchase, and mortgage bond indenture issuance and opinion delivery.
