Douglas D. Caddell

Douglas D. Caddell is Chief Information Officer of Foley & Lardner. He is responsible for leading the firm's national technology efforts and the Information Technology Department. As lead technologist for the firm, Doug directs technology planning, implementation and support firm-wide. Under his leadership Foley has accomplished a vision of client-focused technologies. Doug plays a key role in focusing Foley's technological capabilities on value-added service to the firm's clients. In recognition of our creative strategies, Foley & Lardner's technology has been honored in 2001, 2002 and 2004 by CIO magazine as one of its CIO-100 Award Winners for technology innovation. The firm has also been honored by Information Week magazine as one of 25 "Innovators in Collaboration" and was named to BTI Consulting Group's 2003 Tech-Savvy Team for providing “technological prowess” in serving our clients. Mr. Caddell is an veteran law firm technology director and a nationally recognized speaker and writer on law firm technology. He has over 20 years of experience in finance, operations and management and in leading the technology efforts of a variety of organizations, including law firms. Doug has degrees in management information systems and accounting. He has held professional certifications as a CPA and a certified information systems auditor. He has been CIO of Foley since 1999.
