Jordan Smiley is a member of the Health Care Practice Group within Foley & Lardner LLP’s Business Law Department. She is based in the Los Angeles office.

Jordan’s knowledge covers a wide range of regulatory guidance within the health care sector. She has a thorough understanding of reproductive health care regulations, ensuring compliance with laws governing the evolving legal landscape. Additionally, Jordan is well-versed in telehealth regulations, an assists start-up companies in developing policies and procedures that adhere to complex health care requirements. Furthermore, Jordan is skilled in addressing consent laws, ensuring providers are protected and patient safety is prioritized from the onset of a patient-provider relationship. Jordan is also adept at addressing disciplinary actions in response to medical board inquiries and staying abreast of state-sponsored initiatives and waiver programs. In terms of transactional work, Jordan has experience in health care mergers and acquisitions and drafting meticulous employment agreements tailored to the unique needs of health care professionals.

Jordan began her career at Foley & Lardner LLP as a summer associate in 2022. Prior to joining Foley, Jordan worked as a case manager at a litigation firm where she oversaw third-party communications, evidence collection, and preparation of court filings. Jordan also worked at Disability Rights California where she served as an advocate for clients seeking at-home healthcare via Medicaid.
