Public Affairs Director Jennifer Walsh was quoted in a Christian Science Monitor article, “ Centrist Democrats are back. But these are not your father’s Blue Dogs ,” about a resurgence in the number of so-called Blue Dog Democrats in Congress.
Walsh, who once served as chief of staff to California Rep. Dennis Cardoza, a Blue Dog Democrat who retired in 2012, said that when the coalition is as large as it is now, its members’ votes are in big demand. “It’s fun when your votes are needed,” she said. “People care what you think.”
