Overview

Anne-Louise T. Mittal is a senior counsel and member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice and the Consumer Law, Finance and Class Action Group.  Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation.  Anne-Louise has represented clients in a wide variety of matters, including contract disputes, consumer protection class actions, and securities litigation.  She has extensive experience handling dispositive motions and appeals in both state and federal court.  Anne-Louise has achieved favorable outcomes for clients in arbitration, on the pleadings, at summary judgment, and on appeal. 

Before joining Foley, Anne-Louise was a law clerk for the Honorable Diane S. Sykes, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Education

Anne-Louise earned her law degree from the Marquette University Law School (J.D., summa cum laude, 2015), where she was the Articles Editor for the Marquette Law Review.  Before pursuing her law degree, Anne-Louise received a Master of Science in Information from the University of Michigan (2010) and a Bachelor of Arts in History and French from Marquette University (B.A., summa cum laude, 2006).

Anne-Louise is admitted to practice in Wisconsin, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.  She serves on the Seventh Circuit Advisory Committee on Circuit Rules and the Seventh Circuit Pattern Civil Jury Instructions Committee, as well as the Wisconsin State Bar Appellate Practice Section Board
