Foley & Lardner LLP partner Jeanne M. Gills is quoted in the ManagingIP article, “Firms to press on with diversity plans despite SCOTUS setback,” discussing the importance of diversity in the legal profession following the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision on affirmative action.
Gills said she would encourage firms and corporations to continue the work they have been doing to advance diverse talent. “When we bring a diversity of thought, leadership, and experience, it allows us to think differently about how to create opportunities and solve problems,” Gills commented. “As a leader within my firm, I’m not going to stop what I’m doing because I’ve seen over the course of my 30 years, the success that comes from having diverse teams.”
