On Sept. 1, the Texas legislature expanded the definition of sexual harrassment, heightening the standard of an employer’s response to complaints and placing responsibility on individuals for failing to address sexual harassment. “Employers should take heed of this law and implement effective policies and training to avoid liability for themselves and their employees in the future,” Steely explains in an article with Texas Lawyer.
