Partner Nathaniel Lacktman was quoted in a Modern Healthcare article, “Joint Commission Ditches Telemedicine Rules after Negative Blog Post,” about the Joint Commission’s decision to drop its proposed telehealth standards.
Lacktman said he suspects the commission decided not to move forward with the proposed new standards in part because of industry reaction. “They must have been getting some real heat,” he said. “The last thing telemedicine providers want are more rules and regulations that don’t push the ball forward for innovations in access to high-quality care.”
