Partner Nathaniel Lacktman was quoted in a Politico article, “Iowa Ruling Could Lead to Tele-Abortion in Other States,” on June 19, 2015. The article discussed the Iowa Supreme Court ruling that allows telemedicine-delivered abortions and how the ruling could indirectly lead to looser restrictions on the practice in other states. Lacktman said Friday’s decision could carry weight around the country “because the Iowa court conducted its analysis under the more stringent federal standard under the U.S. Constitution, not the lower standard under the Iowa constitution, and the court found the Iowa rule failed under that federal standard.”
