Potts and Zoppo Quoted on Challenges of Opposing EPA Clean Power Plan

Partners Brian Potts and David Zoppo were quoted in a Forbes article, “Sen. McConnell Miscalculates: Boycotting Clean Power Plan Would Hurt States,” on March 15, 2015. The article discusses the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan and how the several states opposing the plan may face challenges if they do not collaborate with the plan. Potts and Zoppo were quoted saying, “The reason for this is somewhat complicated, but it comes down to the fact that, if a state refuses to develop a plan to implement the rule, then the EPA will step in and do it for them. Just saying no won’t get the state out of having to comply; it will just make compliance more difficult.”
