The Houston Chronicle spoke with Gardere Labor and Employment Partner Jessica Glatzer Mason about the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's newly adopted pregnancy guidelines. Ms. Mason told the publication that the new guidelines will close a loophole between the Pregnancy Discrimination Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act and put employers on notice that while pregnancy is a temporary condition, it can create impairments such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
