Foley announced today that Jana Kolarik Anderson has joined the firm’s Health Care Practice as a partner in its Jacksonville office.
Anderson brings substantial experience advising clients on an array of health care regulatory matters such as Medicare and Medicaid enrollment, coverage and payment issues and fraud and abuse issues, including federal and state anti-kickback statute and Stark compliance issues for all types of health care entities. She provides assistance in developing health care compliance programs for her clients, who range from health care manufacturers and distributors to providers and suppliers. Anderson has also run a wide variety of health regulatory diligence projects related to acquisitions and sales of all types of health care entities, and has advised on health regulatory related representation and warranties in purchase agreements.
“Foley is delighted to expand our nationally recognized Health Care Practice with the addition of Jana,” said Larry Vernaglia, chair of Foley’s Health Care Practice, which was named “Law Firm of the Year — Health Care Law” for the third consecutive year on the 2014 U.S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” list. “Her experience will well serve our clients’ challenges that continue to arise amidst ever-changing regulations in the health care industry.”
Anderson has written and spoken extensively on health care compliance topics. She will be presenting at this month’s American Health Lawyers Association’s Institute on Medicare and Medicaid Payment Issues.
“We are pleased to welcome Jana to Foley,” said Kevin Hyde, managing partner of Foley’s Jacksonville office. “She will be a remarkable asset to our clients and an important resource in identifying new opportunities in the region.”
Prior to joining Foley, Anderson was a partner and member of the Healthcare Practice Group at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP.
