Business Insurance Covers Gardere's Assistance with Captive Insurance Legislation

Business Insurance reported on Texas becoming the most recent state to allow the formation of pure captive insurance companies. The bill, which has been sent to Gov. Rick Perry, was drafted by Gardere on behalf of client AT&T. "We think it will bring some economic development here and a lot of captives may redomesticate to the state," said Kimberly A. Yelkin, chair of the Firm's Government Affairs Practice Group.
