Gardere Client Files Suit for Insurance Company's Failure to Reimburse Defense Costs

Law360 reported on a Texas state judge finding in favor of Gardere client Shore Chan Bragalone DePumpo LLP. In a bench ruling, Dallas County District Court Judge Emily Tobolowsky found that a binding settlement agreement had been reached in December between Shore Chan and Steven Thrasher Associates LLC in a dispute over whether the firm still owed Thrasher a percentage of fees in collected in patent suits. Judge Tobolowsky stated that she didn't have authority to interpret the reach of the settlement's release provision.
