Foley Senior Counsel Sarah Sunday authored an article titled “Lessons Learned From Recent Recalls” in the September 2009 issue of Food Quality. Sunday discusses peanut product callbacks and advises processors on how to avoid similar recalls and accompanying consumer litigation. She adds that even with additional government resources allocated toward addressing food safety issues, the food industry must take responsibility for ensuring the safety of the food supply in order to safeguard against food contaminations and related recalls.
