The 19th Annual Federal and Wisconsin Employment Law Update: “Big Challenges, Smart Solutions” will take place on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at the Country Springs Hotel and Conference Center in Waukesha, Wisconsin. On June 5, 2025, in a unanimous decision authored by Justice Alito, the United States Supreme Court held that the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act of 1976 (FSIA), 28 U.S.C. §§1330, 1602 et seq., does not require a plaintiff to prove a foreign state has made “minimum contacts” with the United States sufficient to satisfy the personal jurisdiction test set forth in International Shoe Co. v. Washington, 326 U.S. 310, 316 (1945).
