E-Commerce Times Speaks to Partner Peter Vogel on EU Regulators, Google

E-Commerce Times spoke to Gardere Partner Peter S. Vogel, chair of the Firm's Internet, eCommerce and Technology Industry Team, about the formal complaint filed by Microsoft with European Union antitrust authorities criticizing Google for restricting use of its patented technologies.
"Until the EU brought this action, the only browser offered as a default was the Microsoft browser," Mr. Vogel explained. "So now Microsoft is trying to show the EU that they want to be fair in all their dealings – that they want an open persona in the European Union."
