The U.S. Army Reserves promoted Foley Litigator Jeffrey Kopp to Colonel. With this promotion, Kopp will take command of the 91st Legal Operations Detachment, a Chicago reserve unit comprised of about 100 judge advocate attorneys and paralegals. The unit provides legal assistance to reservists located in the Midwest, principally in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Iowa. Kopp was selected by the Judge Advocate General Officers Screening Committee for this position after a highly competitive process.

Kopp is a partner in the Litigation Department in Foley’s Detroit office, where he is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice, the Automotive Industry Team and the Trade Secret/Non-Compete Task Force. He is active in local and state bar activities and serves as a Director on the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association (DMBA) Board. In addition, he provides pro bono volunteer services for the Detroit Legal Services Clinic and Project Salute.
