Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP is proud to announce that for the third consecutive year, partner Fernando Camarena Cardona has been featured in the 2017 edition of The Best Lawyers in Mexico for his work in Corporate and M&A Law.

Mr. Camarena is a partner in Gardere’s Mexico City office, where he focuses his practice on international and domestic tax issues in Mexico, as well as mergers and acquisitions and corporate law. He represents small companies to Fortune 500, FTSE 100 and other global and brand-name corporations in the energy, manufacturing, nutritional supplement, insurance and other industries. Mr. Camarena’s experience also includes matters encompassing insurance regulatory and government contracts.

“Fernando has an exceptional knowledge of global tax and corporate law, as well as a deep understanding of his clients’ businesses in Mexico and abroad,” says Roberto Arena, who heads the Firm’s Mexico City office. “These qualities inspire both trust and respect, and we congratulate him on this well-deserved honor.”

Since it was first published in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Best Lawyers lists are compiled based on an exhaustive peer-review evaluation. More than 83,000 leading attorneys globally are eligible to vote, and over 13 million votes have been received to date on the legal abilities of other lawyers based on their specific practice areas around the world. Lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed; therefore inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice."
