Members of the IPAM Team address both the economic and scientific aspects of patent portfolios. Our due diligence members, including researchers, business managers, and former USPTO examiners, have educational and technical backgrounds in many cutting-edge and future-looking technologies, positioning Foley as a stand-out in IP due diligence within financial transactions. Drawing on these diverse backgrounds allows us to inject a broader and pragmatic view into each analysis.

Deliverables of our IP due diligence include: 

• An analysis that integrates financial history, regulatory and compliance soundness, and market competitiveness analysis 
• Review of other areas that may be of concern within the IP portfolio
• A recommendation on ways to improve upon the IP portfolio in the context of the transaction
