Kaplan Quoted in The Washington Post About Temperature Screening for Workplaces

The Washington Post
Partner Daniel Kaplan was quoted in The Washington Post article, “A fever is 100.4 in Ohio; it’s 99.5 in Minnesota: States, companies write their own rules for temperature screening in a pandemic.”
The article notes the patchwork of laws, guidelines and regulations facing businesses as many try to reopen in the absence of a national screening strategy and the confusion it is sowing.
Kaplan, co-chair of Foley’s Labor & Employment Practice, said the innumerable state guidelines have led companies to seek help understanding what they should be doing. “We’re seeing differences among the states that aren’t necessarily explicable,” he said.
