Foley and Boys & Girls Clubs of America Advocating for Great Futures
Foley’s Commitment to Youth Leadership Shines Through Boys & Girls Clubs of America Partnership
Foley & Lardner is the first law firm to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) on a national scale. Our national partnership with BGCA was established in 2021 and supports the organization’s national youth leadership development strategy through programs and initiatives that open doors for the next generation to thrive.
Our partnership is driven by the engagement of our attorneys and business professionals who create unforgettable experiences for youth at local Clubs. From mentoring programs and Author read-aloud sessions to school supply drives and playground refreshes, Foley is equipping youth to lead, succeed, and make meaningful contributions in their communities.
Foley has engaged with BGCA Clubs in all the communities where we practice, and in activities that blend leadership, skill-building, advocacy, and community engagement.
- Bringing Stories to Life Through the Author Series
Foley’s Author Series invites celebrated children’s authors to local Clubs, where they lead interactive readings and discussions. Each young participant leaves with a copy of the book, helping to foster a lifelong love of reading and storytelling. - Building Bridges for Military-Connected Youth
Foley has proudly supported the National Military Youth of the Year program since 2023 by hosting an exclusive gathering for finalists at its Washington, D.C., offices. This event brings together military-connected youth from across the globe, along with Youth of the Year alumni, Club staff, and Foley’s Veteran Affinity Group, to celebrate youth leadership, discuss career opportunities, and share experiences. - Empowering Youth with Legal Knowledge Through Street Law®
Foley brings the Street Law program to local Clubs, giving youth the opportunity to learn about the legal system in engaging, practical ways. By teaching real-world skills like understanding contracts, negotiation, and advocacy, the program equips young people with tools to navigate life confidently. - Opening Career Pathways at the Summit for America’s Youth
At BGCA’s annual Summit for America’s Youth, Foley connects directly with teens during the career fair, helping them explore potential futures in law, business, and advocacy. By sharing their expertise and personal stories, Foley professionals inspire youth to think boldly about what’s possible.
Through these and other BGCA activities, Foley attorneys and business professionals contributed 6,500+ volunteer and pro bono hours in the first three years of our partnership.

For 160 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of America has provided a safe, affordable place for kids and teens to learn and grow during critical out-of-school time.
