Foley Partner and co-chair of the Hospitality, Resort & Golf Industry Team Van Tengberg and Partner William Guthrie authored an article that appeared on Golf Course Industry on September 28, 2009 titled “Vacation home market trends: Opportunities for the golf industry.” The authors discuss the emergence of timeshares, condotels, vacation clubs, residence clubs and resorts as viable alternatives to vacation home ownership in the midst of the declining real estate market. They note that the emerging trends generally provide consumers with a wider variety of products to select from and enhanced benefits.
