On Monday, October 9, 2007, Foley Partners Matthew J. Murer and Lawrence D. Vernaglia will present, “Dealing With Difficult Families,” at the AHCA/NCAL/MECF 58th Annual Convention & Exposition in Boston, MA. Participants in this nuts and bolts session will learn not only the legal but also the operational strategies for dealing with difficult families. The session will include a variety of difficult situations from disagreements regarding care, refusals to pay and interfamily disputes to family members that are abusive to staff and how best to deal with them. As a takeaway from the session, participants will receive practical tips for dealing with these situation and how to limit the provider’s liability.
