Privilege and Confidentiality for Patient Safety Organizations

Foley Partner Janice Anderson is speaking on a Web conference for the Michigan State Bar on March 19, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Ms. Anderson is speaking with Amy Barkholz, General Counsel for the Michigan Health & Hospital Association and Steve Bender with the HCLS Medical/Legal Subcommittee. Their session is titled “Privilege and Confidentiality for Patient Safety Organizations.” This program will address privilege and confidentiality requirements under the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act and the recently revised Michigan Peer Review Legislation. Speakers will also touch on what providers should do to ensure their privileged and confidential information remains privileged and confidential.
