On Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Foley attorneys, David A. Charapp and Adrian R. Cyhan will present, Structuring the Business Terms of Technology Transactions, for the San Diego Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society.
The presentation will be held in the Pinnacle Room at the Rock Bottom Brewery La Jolla.
Program Description
A business deal is the central aspect of many technology transactions. Failure to structure a mutually-beneficial deal or reach agreement on the core business terms can stop a negotiation in its tracks. Understanding a range of approaches to technology valuation and the structure of royalty terms and payment timing can unlock previously hidden value, and result in a win-win for the participants. This session will explore issues regarding the business terms of technology transactions from the high-tech perspective, and will include a discussion of related business issues particularly relevant to transactions in the life sciences/pharmaceutical industry.
