Foley Senior Counsel Thomas (T.J.) Ferrante, a member of the firm’s Telemedicine & Digital Health Industry Team, will present at the ProAssurance Risk Resource Conference on February 12, 2019. His presentation is titled “Telemedicine: Legal & Practical Considerations.” Mr. Ferrante’s session will discuss important considerations that health care providers should take into account when practicing via telemedicine.
The discussion will target the following learning objectives:
- Summarize the current regulatory landscape as it relates to telemedicine
- Identify key considerations when using telemedicine, including licensure, medical practice standards, prescribing and reimbursement
- Describe the medical professional liability risks that may arise when delivering care via telemedicine
