Rutt Quoted on Nanotechnology

Foley Partner Steven Rutt was quoted in an article that appeared in the March 2011 issue of Washington Lawyer titled “Nanotechnology: Small Science, Huge Hurdles.” Rutt discusses the growing number of applications yielded by nanotech research, stating that studies in the last decade have focused on new developments like quantum dots and nanowires. He adds that investors want companies that utilize nanotech to comply with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines, noting that a well-run company considers EHS as part of its business plan and knows that regulation instills consumers with the confidence to use nanomaterials.
