Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that Susan Greenspon has joined the firm’s Transactions and Securities Practice as partner in the Chicago office.
Greenspon brings a deep understanding of corporate law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financings, restructuring, corporate governance and general corporate counseling. Representing enterprises ranging from startups to publicly traded Fortune 500 companies, Greenspon assists clients in scaling and managing their business growth. She works within a wide range of industries and sectors, including beauty and cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, retail, information technology, electronics and real estate, among others.
Greenspon’s international work includes joint ventures, manufacturing agreements, acquisitions and the purchasing and selling of assets throughout Canada, Europe, the Nordic countries, Asia and the Caribbean.
“Susan’s practice is truly global, where she helps clients increase their business efficiency and maximize their growth potential,” said Daljit Doogal, Business Law Department Chair. “Her strong business acumen and pragmatic approach to complex corporate matters will benefit our clients operating in the United States and abroad.”
When working with emerging growth companies, Greenspon helps secure funding from diverse sources at all stages and often serves as her clients’ primary outside counsel, which includes handling corporate governance issues, senior management agreements, corporate form documentation, and the formation of equity option vehicles.
“Susan is a premier corporate practitioner with deep contacts locally and across the globe,” said Frank Pasquesi, managing partner of Foley’s Chicago office. “She adds depth to our corporate bench in Chicago and will be able to leverage the firm’s international platform as she grows her portfolio of work.”
