Foley Partner Gardner Davis was quoted in an article titled “Middle District of Florida bankruptcies rise 50% in first half” in the August 7, 2009 issue of the Jacksonville Business Journal. Davis discusses the rising bankruptcies in Florida’s Middle District, noting that one Jacksonville lender has decided not to bring any foreclosure actions against good borrowers. He adds that lenders recognize that bankruptcy is a lose-lose proposition and are generally working with their business borrowers.
