Foley Partners Patrick Daugherty and Todd Pfister participated in a Foley National Directors Institute Web Conference focused on The Evolving Role of the Chief Legal Officer. Information gleaned from event panelists including Daugherty, Pfister and several in-house counsel was featured in a March 15, 2010 ABA Journal article titled “Changing Demands Have In-House Counsel Gaining Over Outside Firms, GCs Say.” Panelists discussed the evolving roles of general counsel from supporting actors to board meeting strategists in response to corporate demands to cut legal costs by enhancing in-house capabilities.
