Foley Partner Andrea Chambers was quoted in an article that appeared in The Wall Street Journal on December 16, 2010 titled “FERC Backs Plan For Midwest States To Share Power-Line Costs.” Chambers discusses a cost-sharing plan approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission that would divide costs for interstate transmission lines among 13 Midwest and Western states based on generation capacity. She states that removing cost-allocation barriers is helpful, but adds that success will depend on how well the cost-sharing plan can be implemented.
