Lep Adams Brings Extensive Experience in Construction and Real Estate Disputes.
Foley announced today that Adam G. “Lep” Adams III has joined the firm’s Construction and Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practices as a partner in its Jacksonville office. Previously, Adams was a shareholder at Rogers Towers, P.A.
Adams maintains a complex commercial litigation practice focusing on construction law, which includes representation of public and private owners, developers, design professionals, contractors, subcontractors, manufacturers and suppliers in complex contract disputes, including payment, performance, defect and delay claims litigation in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Additionally, Lep has substantial experience drafting and negotiating construction industry contracts for clients’ specific requirements. Ranging from clients in the energy to hospitality industries, Adams has experience in providing counsel on a wide variety of legal issues from basic development to complex multi-jurisdictional disputes.
“Given the economy’s significant impact on the construction industry, experienced attorneys like Lep are becoming increasingly important for clients involved in complex commercial litigation and contractual issues,” said Jeffrey R. Blease, chair of the firm’s national Construction Practice. “His addition will help deepen the firm’s already strong capabilities in the resolution of construction-related disputes.”
“Foley provides countless opportunities for me to grow my practice and offer clients tremendous additional value by leveraging the firm’s deep team of construction attorneys and vast experience with the many issues impacting the industry,” said Adams. “Specifically, my experience in litigation and resolutions of contract disputes and construction claims translates well to the work I’ll be doing at Foley, and I look forward to entering this new phase of my career.”
Adams is active in a number of civic and professional organizations, belonging to the Florida Bar and Jacksonville and American Bar Associations. He was Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar in 2005, the first year certification became available in that practice area, was named as one of the “Florida Legal Elite” by Florida Trend magazine and is listed in Florida Super Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America. He has also achieved an AV peer review rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
“Lep has extensive trial, appellate and arbitration experience involving a myriad of construction projects,” said Kevin E. Hyde, managing partner of the firm’s Jacksonville office. “We are extremely pleased to welcome him to our team and look forward to his contributions.”
