Geilfuss Quoted on Accountable Care Organizations
August 19, 2011
Business Journal of Milwaukee
Foley Partner Frederick Geilfuss was quoted in an article that appeared in the Business Journal of Milwaukee on August 19, 2011 titled “Aurora to Launch Insurance Product.” Geilfuss discusses accountable care organizations (ACOs) created under health care reform, stating that many health care systems see participation in an ACO as a solution to lower costs. He adds that unlike HMOs, the emerging ACO program holds providers responsible for providing quality health care, noting that an infrastructure of shared medical records now allows health systems to coordinate care.
