In discussing the sale of the Dodgers to Guggenheim Baseball Management, an ownership group headed by Magic Johnson, Guggenheim CEO Mark Walter and former Nats president Stan Kasten, Foley partner Irwin Raij said that he believes the group will think very creatively about what’s best for the Dodgers brand. Raij led the team of Foley attorneys that assisted Guggenheim Baseball Management in this purchase. This representation follows the firm’s successful representation of Rangers Baseball Express LLC in its acquisition of the Texas Rangers, as well as the Ricketts family in its acquisition of the Chicago Cubs.
