Partner Irwin Raij, who led the team of Foley attorneys that represented Guggenheim Baseball Management in its acquisition of the Los Angeles Dodgers, discussed finalizing the record-setting $2.15 billion deal. He stated that, among other issues, the size and complexity of the deal along with time constraints made for a unique closing with no margin for error. Foley’s involvement in this deal follows on the heels of its successful representation of Rangers Baseball Express LLC in its acquisition of the Texas Rangers, and the Ricketts family in its acquisition of the Chicago Cubs.
