The article discussed the Panama Canal widening to facilitate larger cargo ships and its economic impact. Cerezo said, “If you look at Miami some years ago, it was primarily Latin America. You’re now seeing a lot more between Latin America and Asia, and Miami stands to benefit. There’s talk of having kind of a center here in Miami promoting Chinese investment into the Americas and … not only from China into Latin America, but from Latin America into China.”
