KDFW FOX 4 reported on a recent cyberattack on the U.S. government, which exposed personal information of current and former federal employees, and spoke with Gardere Partner Peter S. Vogel. According to Mr. Vogel, cyber intrusions happen daily and it can take eight months before an intrusion is discovered. "There are organized criminal groups that take this data and then resell it to other criminals, so what could happen is the use of this information could show up elsewhere," Mr. Vogel said.
Mr. Vogel is a litigation attorney in Gardere's Dallas office, where he serves as chair of Gardere's Internet, eCommerce and Technology team.
