Partner Roger Strode was quoted in a New York Times article, “Small, Piecemeal Mergers in Health Care Fly Under Regulators’ Radars,” on April 9, 2016. The article discussed smaller transactions in the health care space that are changing the landscape, yet face little regulatory resistance. The deals typically involve a few doctors or hospitals and can have an impact on health care in the region, but not enough to attract national attention. Strode said the push toward new forms of payment and more connected care is pushing providers to enter these combinations, he continued and said, “I don’t see it abating.”
