People Magazine Publishes Story on Houston Gardere MLK Oratory Competition Winner

Tchanori Kone, first-place winner of the 22nd Annual Gardere MLK Jr. Oratory Competition in Houston, was featured in People magazine’s digital human interest section for her motivational words addressing this year’s competition question, “What is your dream for today’s world?”
The publication reported that Tchanori, “took home first place…after she wrote and delivered a powerful speech about the change she wants to see in this world.”
“The promise of Dr. King’s dream, of improving the lives of the poor, and granting equal fair access to education and health care has not been fully realized,” Tchanori said in her speech titled “Making the Dream Come True.”
